I find this video clip particularly spoke to the value of channels of communication and debate for public (scientific) discussion and then the careful archiving (and "backing up") of those materials (the two copies of the newspaper article in this case). This sounds like a groundbreaking alternative geneology that could have been lost had it not been for the published articles in the newspaper which were the saved (unclear from the clip if the newspapers themselves also held those archives; are they now digitized?).
An aside, I really enjoyed hearing/watching the video interview and Can Candan speak about his finding.
