Critical Commentary
Journal editors' roundtable discussion hosted by several members of the incoming editorial collective of 4S's Open Access journal, Engaging Science, Technology, and Society. Participating in the panel are editors of Tapuya, Catalyst, Science & Technology Studies, and East Asian Science, Technology & Society. The rountable discussion focuses on the challenges and opportunities for transnationalization in STS journals, the role of editorial boards, inter-journal collaborations, and the role of scholarly societies such as the 4S in supporting STS journals. The rountable discussion continues a tradition started at 4S annual meeting in Sydney (2018) and then again in New Orleans (2019), which brought together editors of various STS journals to deliberate on the state of scholarly publishing in STS writ large.
