AO: In February 2019, I came across this document written in 1972 by one of the early chief archivists of the Kenya National Archives (N.W. Fedha). The document outlines the early history of the Kenya National Archives as well as the rationale and motivation for its creation. I have come to realize that the document was likely prepared/delivered by Mr. Fedha for the Second East And Central African Archives Conference which was held in Nairobi in 1972. I found the document in the archives and digitized it. This PDF includes the original images of the document as well as the typed up copy.
