Indigenous knowledge and the curriculum

This essay explores examples of Deakin University Social Studies of Science course materials that incorporate indigenous knowledges. It focuses on the bark paintings created by Yolngu artist Djamika Munungurr and their use in the curriculum in Social Studies of Science curricula in the 1970s-1990s, and their continued use as pedagogic tools today.
