I am a rising 6th year PhD candidate who works at the intersection of art and STS (ASTS). I explore the dialectics of disaster/creation, death/life, and violence/peace in the new geological epoch known as the Anthropocene (among several other compelling alternative -cenes). I am a fervently interdisciplinary scholar, having come to STS from environmental studies. My methods are eclectic and mixed: I use whatever methods are most compelling given the question at hand. I have mostly trained in traditional and performance ethnography, discourse analysis, theater, and dance. I would like to do more in-depth explorations of using movement and writing as modes of inquiry into multi-sensory and multi-species worlds.
