A Brief History of the STS Futures Lab at James Madison University

This timeline essay provides a brief history of the STS Futures Lab in the School of Integrated Sciences at James Madison University, a public university in the Shenandoah Valley of Virginia.

Founders and co-PIs of the Lab Emily York and Shannon N. Conley are assistant professors in the School of Integrated Sciences. Their backgrounds are in STS and they primarily teach in the "social contexts" portion of the ABET-accredited undergraduate applied science degree program "Integrated Science and Technology".
