This PECE essay is a collation of my understanding of the texts that were part of the recommended readings for class discussions @ LA 6350 and a few peripheral readings I stumbled upon. It is less an attempt to summarize and more an attempt to assemble a linear (with respect to time) account of the field using diagrammatic notes to broaden my own understanding.
