Critical Commentary

Satellite view of Mexico City generated by eBird that shows the intensity of bird observations, in terms of the number of species recorded. The yellow signs, mostly concentrated in the South, indicate a larger number, the blue ones, the smaller. This tool is useful to know where birds can be seen.
For Mexico City lists 100 “Sites of interest”, from the Xochimilco Ecological Park (known as the PEX), with 241 registered species , in the first place, followed by the San Gregorio Atapulco Lagoon, also in Xochimilco; to the Hotel Milán, with 11 species, in the 100th place. These resources also guide the activities of the birders, they offer them a route along which they know they can have a productive day and also suggests what species of birds they will find, which makes identification easier . In total, the platform has 384 registered bird species contained in 16,179 lists for the city.
