"Law" and "Policy" in Science, Technology, & Human Values

As of May 15, 2018, a search for "law" AND "policy" in STHV returned 706 articles, while individually "law" returnd 905 and "policy" returned 1375 articles. Themes that can be drawn out from these extensive collections include but are not limited to, 1) health science, in relation to privacy and public health policy, 2) genetics and DNA, as property and as boundary-making tools, 3) bureaucracy and international governance (with specific concerns about nuclear powers, environmental regulations, militaries, and policy agendas and services), 4) intellectual property, and 5) professionalism, such as expert evidence, ethics, and credibility of scientists and other scholars. This collection was compiled as part of a broader essay querying the journal "Science, Technology & Human Values."
