A PDF of the instructions for the extra credit version of a "study guide assignment" for use in STS courses.
In this assignment are the instructions for "choose-your-own-assignment"- style study guides, in general, and those for the particular pop culture, science fiction-oriented version of the extra credit.
I use this as a means to help students recognize the applicability of what we study throughout the semester to every part of their lives, and to recognize that we have learn important new ways of knowing and understanding from engaging with popular culture.
