The fear of technology engulphing fifty percentage of human work in the immediate future became a big hipe in both popular and academic circles. The social constructivist theories try to negate such assumptions without proper empirical research, STS, on the other hand, gives an alternative view of how technology is 'situated and contextualised in the social realm, rather than the natural one. As a new paradigm to understand both science and technology, the STS scholars try to avoid the unwanted division between the binaries.
