Wambui Wamunyu, PhD, is a member of faculty in the Media and Film Studies Department at Daystar University, Kenya. A qualitative researcher, her doctoral work focused on the use of digital technologies in newsrooms. She is a former journalist and 2015 iHub research fellow who has contributed to discussions on various aspects of media and digital policy, including Internet shutdowns and Kenya’s Access to Information Act.
