Tim Elfenbein is a publishing consultant and scholarly communication researcher. He is the principal of Forthcoming LLC, and a research affiliate of Invest in Open Infrastructure. Tim has worked as a production editor at Duke University Press, the managing editor of the journal Cultural Anthropology, and more recently as a project manager at Community-led Open Publication Infrastructure for Monographs (COPIM). As a researcher, he inquires into contemporary knowledge infrastructures through ordering devices such as metadata, file formats, and hyperlinks, and with an underlying focus on the labor.
