Soraya Boudia is Professor of Sociology at University Paris Descartes. She serves as deputy director of Center for Research in Medicine, Science, Health, Mental Health, and Society Cermes3) and on the Board of Directors of the Institute for Research and Innovation in Society (IFRIS). She has edited four books, most recently, with Nathalie Jas, Powerless Science? Science and Politics in a Toxic World (Berghann, 2014 and 2016) and with Emmanuel Henry, La Mondialisation des risques. Une histoire politique et transnationale des risques sanitaires environnementaux (Presses Universitaires de Rennes, 2015). Her current work focuses on the politics of nuclear waste and rare earth waste.
