Biography

I'm an anthropologist of disaster, media and infrastructure. My recent projects are ethnographies of the disaster media infrastructure in the Philippines, particularly the typhoon alert communications. I am interested in understanding how both media users and media producers engage with the infrastructure. I received my Ph.D. in Anthropology with a designated emphasis in Southeast Asian Studies from the University of California, Riverside.
