Phalgunn Maharishi is a creative professional with a passion for creating content and telling stories. He holds an MBA in Media & Entertainment and worked in various creative roles for different companies in India for over 7 years before pursuing the Master’s Program in Visual Anthropology, Media & Documentary Practices at the University of Münster, Germany. Currently, as a student of Visual Anthropology, he is fulfilling his dream of making films and sharing stories focusing on digital media, social media, music, fan culture, and pop culture.
He also likes to tell stories of people and animals he can connect with a lot. He has worked on three movies as of now - "The Authentic Performance" is a vlogumentary-style ethnographic film exploring vlogging, authenticity, and performance in vlogging, "One More Walk" is an experimental short film produced within a week as a reflection of some of his memories, and "The God from the Cinemas" is a short documentary film exploring hero-worship in India. Currently, he is working on his next short ethnographic film titled "Sketching Dreams".
