Misria Shaik Ali is a doctoral candidate at the Department of Science and Technology Studies, Rensselaer Polytechnic Institute, New York. My dissertation research focuses on the politics of knowledge production about radiation contamination, illnesses and nuclear safety among experts at the institutional and national and among lay people. My research traces the epistemic, material, sensorial and multispecies dimensions of nuclear regulation and radiation contamination/illnesses. My interests include feminist, anti-racist and queer science studies, religion, violence and alterity studies, psychoanalysis and environmental anthropology.
