Doctor in International Studies of the University of Denver (USA). She is an Associate Professor at the Universidad de Concepción, Chile.
In the last 20 years, her research interests are the democratization and territorialization of social and economic policies, combining comparative analysis of (sub)national responses with the study of supranational governance, including the European Union and the United Nations. She has led several applied research grants on policy transfer, such as the adaptation of the Swedish EcoMunicipality model to the Chilean context. She is currently studying the transfer of the EU Smart Specialisation Strategy in Chile and Peru. She is an associate researcher in the European Studies Program (PEE) and the Interdisciplinary Center for Aquaculture Research (INCAR) of the University of Concepción.
