Geneva Smith is a Postdoctoral Fellow at Dartmouth's Program on Ecology, Evolution, Environment and Society. Her research is broadly concerned with agricultural innovation, environmental justice, and the impact of settler imaginaries of land use in Argentina. She is particularly interested in the intersection of governance, public policy, and environmental controversy.
Prior to beginning her postdoctoral position at Dartmouth, Geneva received her PhD in Anthropology at the University of New Mexico (2020) and was a Visiting Research Fellow at the Harvard Kennedy School's Program on Science, Technology and Society (2018-2020). She also received a Master's in Global Policy Studies from the LBJ School of Public Affairs at The University of Texas at Austin (2015).
