Emily Vasquez is an ethnographer of health, science and medicine. She is a doctoral candidate at Columbia University and a member of the Field Dogs research group at the Universidad Nacional Autónoma de México (UNAM) in Mexico City. Her research focuses on the politics of diabetes prevention in Mexico and the intersection of diabetes science with collective identities, subjectivities and social power.
