Emiliano Grimaldi is Professor of Sociology of Education at the Department of Social Sciences of the University of Naples Federico II. In the same Department, he is the Chair of the Bachelor Programme in Digital and Communication Cultures and Co-director of L@bed, an interdisciplinary research laboratory on education and digitalization. His research is in education policy sociology and has centred on digitalization and platformization in education, educational governance and evaluation, NPM reforms in education and inclusive education. Adopting a governmentality and archaeological perspective, he is currently working on digitalization, platformization and robotics in education, the rise of EdTech markets, the shifting spatialities and temporalities in digital education and the making of the digital learner.
