Instructor at Virginia Tech in the Department of Science, Technology, and Society. My doctoral work focused on athletes, gender, and doping regulation. My current work focuses on the intersections of race, gender, class, politics, and biomedicine around current events (like the pandemic). As part of my commitment to issues of social justice, I am also interested in doing critical STS pedagogical work in my classrooms. Some of this work includes disability forward teaching and delving into the contextual terrain of health, healthcare, and access with students to enact change.
