Currently a Master’s student at the Philosophy of Science Program (focus on Philosophical and Social Studies of Science) at the National Autonomous University of Mexico (UNAM). Ariel Sánchez-Zúñiga holds a B.A. in English and a B.Sc. in Biology from the UNAM. His research focuses on the increased use of surveillance and security technologies at the Mexico‑U.S. border. His approach makes use of STS, Philosophy of Technology and Border Studies to analyze the heterogeneous discourses on border technification.
