Allison Fulton is a PhD candidate in English at the University of California, Davis, with a designated emphasis in science and technology studies. Her dissertation project explores the gendered relationship between scientific personae and scientific materiality at work in the nineteenth-century US. Alongside her dissertation research, she partakes in making and doing projects that engage with the artistic and technical processes of her dissertation’s archival materials. Recently, she featured her artists’ book work at the UC Davis Manetti Shrem Museum of Art and participated in the Plant Humanities Summer Program at Dumbarton Oaks.
