Maggie Mang Collaboration Bio

Text

Maggie Mang is a third-year PhD student in the department of Science and Technology Studies at Rensselaer Polytechnic Institute in Troy, New York, USA. Previously, she completed a Master’s in Medicine, Health, and Society at Vanderbilt University, where her project focused on compulsory (un)wellness, race, and disability. She also received her Bachelor’s in Philosophy and focused on a research project involving medical education socialization and the implications it had on physician unwellness. Her research interests are broadly influenced by feminist-, queer-, and crip-of-color critique and involve a critical attention to environment, space, bodies, health, food, and punishment.
