Critical Commentary

AO: This report was created to document key components comprising the organizational, business, and technical apparatuses of a broad range of Scholarly Communication Resources (SCRs) – the tools, services, and systems that are key to the publishing and distribution of the scholarly record. This seems to be particularly relevant for the ESTS OA - OD issue editors to think with as we seek to better understand the technical infrastructure on which the journal is currently built and the possible directions moving forward.

This report was supported by the broader "Invest in Open Infrastructure" group which appears to be important for ESTS as well.
