We want to suggest research centers like Kaleidos can become innovative academic spaces in the growing context of global academic labor precarity—which is certainly not exclusive to the US—and we want to argue for the central role of ethnography in imagining new ways of engaging with the world in the context of Cuenca, Ecuador. As mentioned by Angela Okune in her response to the Querying STS Innovation Annotations, we are interested in asking how the research material and content we produce can be accessible to multiple audiences and can be shared in various communicational formats.
