[my reflection ]
Now it is the period of graduate school entrance examination, and a group of friends are preparing to go abroad to study graduate school. Although the academic career is not exactly equivalent to the employment direction, I believe there must be a certain relationship. People who choose to study abroad may also be interested in working and developing abroad, so I think this makes me see that after the Cold War, the employment development pattern of Taiwanese engineers has changed.
As I said at the beginning, the isolation Taiwan faced during the Cold War may have brought about a spiritual change for Taiwanese engineers. I think that for engineers, finding a stable and fulfilling career direction is the primary focus of employment, and engineers who have experienced the instability during the Cold War may start to seek employment opportunities abroad. Moreover, with their own strength, employment abroad may not be unpopular. And the above is what I think the cold war had the biggest impact on engineers.
