Critical Commentary

•In my opinion, the private sector should lead innovation.

•As we have seen with examples such as the introduction of facial recognition technology on phones and the transition from headphone jacks to Bluetooth, private companies have been successful in driving innovation and introducing new technologies to the market.

•Apple, for instance, was a pioneer in bringing facial recognition to phones with the iPhone X, and many other companies subsequently followed suit. Similarly, the switch from headphone jacks to Bluetooth was also driven by private companies.

•These examples demonstrate the potential for private sector innovation to bring about significant and impactful changes.
