Special Issues: Science & Technology Studies

This essay briefly describes special issues of Science & Technology Studies. Excerpts are primarily taken from editorials of various issues. Themes that span more than one issue are embedded further as text artifacts. The special issues are listed in reverse chronological order, from latest to older ones.

Over thirty years, Science & Technology Studies has taken out fifteen special issues on a wide variety of themes, ranging from global health, university-society relations, energy and knowledge infrastructures to gendered work cultures in physics, theorizing interventions, and medical practices, among others.

The special issues underscore interdisciplinarity and reflect the journal's emphasis on addressing global and situated concerns, and employ equally diverse theoretical frameworks and methodologies.
