I am a PhD scholar at the Centre for Technology Alternatives for Rural Areas (CTARA) of the Indian Institute of Technology (IIT), Bombay, India. As part of my current research work, I am attempting to understand watersheds’ emergence through watershed development and management and its implications for watershed governance and outcomes. Earlier, I have worked for close to eight years. Of this, the last six years have been in different capacities as a field practitioner and as a researcher in the field of rural development through conservation and development of land, water and forest-based resources in collaboration with the indigenous communities in part of central India.
