Labour process theory is used by Russell as one of the important schemes to understand technology which quite different from the social constructivist approach. He argues that the process theory can be applied to any sphere of life such as politics, policy, state etc. Everywhere the voice of certain people is undermined by deskilling or made invisible. this is his basic criticism against Pinch and Bijker. On the other hand, by claiming an understanding of alternative and failed technology, they argue that they didn't miss anything while talking about the relativism of technology. both ends of this debate enrich my understanding of technology and labour and its correlation.
