Peter Hobbs is an instructor in the Faculty of Art at OCAD University. Peter Hobbs received a PhD from the Faculty of Environmental Studies, York University in 2017 and produced a dissertation entitled "Chemical Intimacies and Toxic Publics" which traced the messy politics of ambient toxins, showing how people are always already entangled in a toxic status quo and the harm visited on specific fleshly communities and peoples. The text was a mixture of methods, concerns, and voices, and meant to be read as part manifesto, part ethnography, part autobiography, and part art object.
