Performing Firewood

My experience with women in Guerrero made me realize that, like firewood, myself and my body enact something in the world that moves along with life, that has its own historicity. What started like an interruption produced by myself transformed into a productive scenario that allowed me to engage with firewood in a different way. In the picture, I -considerably taller than the women I interacted with- am crouched over a metate "moliendo" maize.
