Critical Commentary

The percentage of regional affiliation by Chilean authors is extracted from the first institutional affiliation that they identified as principal at registration to Congress. We have included all the authors (first authorship or not), as well as those that have been repeated in the congresses. The objective is to show the regional distribution through the discussion tables. 63.66% corresponds to authors who identify their affiliation with an institution in the Metropolitan Region, which has the political capital and the largest population in the country.
