AbstractThis article describes a personal and disciplinary journey in, around and between getting more women in science and changing the nature of science education. Using the framework of Feminist Science Studies, I explore the gendered nature of science and offer a suggestion to make it more contextualised and more located in its specific setting. This will be beneficial not only for those excluded from science education but also for the provision of a better science education itself.
