Hi, I’m Laetitia, a PhD student with particular interest in the role of digital technologies in body politics. My dissertation focuses on apps and other biosensors that track the (potentially) ovulating self. Drawing on ethnographic fieldwork, I explore to which extent, and under what conditions, these technologies challenge, reflect or reproduce power relations.
I am also a teaching assistant at the University of Lausanne (STS Lab) and a board member of the Swiss STS association. My background is in Medical Anthropology and Sociology of Medicine and Science, as well as in Film History and Esthetics.
Through the 6S, I’d like to collaborate with others interested in reflecting on the role of STS in these times of uncertainty. (How) can we use STS thinking/doing to bring social change?
