Jasmin April Mendoza is currently a senior at California State University, Fullerton where she is pursuing a bachelor's degree in Criminal Justice. She was Vice President and former President of APS known as Alpha Phi Sigma which is a Criminal Justice National Honor Society. APS honors and promotes our four pillars of academic excellence, leadership, unity, and community service. She also worked with America On Track’s Brighter Futures for Children of Prisoners program as a mentor for a year. AOT serves children from families where one or more parents may be incarcerated. Jasmin is currently a research assistant at the California State University, Irvine where she works with her incredible research team on an extremely life-changing project that focuses on community-based organizations. Her current research interests involve restorative justice practices and programs. Specifically, programs that focus on healing and trauma being a CSA survivor myself I feel that it is extremely important for my voice to be heard and be that advocate for those who are not ready to share their stories. Additionally, Jasmin wants to investigate counterterrorism intelligence and the threat prioritization process and is actively pursuing those interests through an internship with the Joint Regional Intelligence Center (JRIC).
