In this episode, Max Liboiron speaks to Alison Kenner. Max is Assistant Professor in Geography at Memorial University, where she directs Civic Laboratory for Environmental Action Research (CLEAR), a feminist, anti-colonial marine science laboratory that specializes in grassroots environmental monitoring of plastic pollution. Max's in-progress manuscript builds on this work to articulate pollution as a form of colonialism. Liboiron also runs Discard Studies, an interdisciplinary hub for research on waste and wasting and is the Associate Vice-President (Indigenous Research) at Memorial University.
