Critical Commentary

In this essay film, the author uses her camera as an experimental device to capture and discover new modes of coexistence in the Amazon rainforests. Building on anthropological, indigenous, and archeological knowledges, she argues that the forest, rather than being an untamed and pristine habitat, has instead been shaped and reshaped by human (including scientific) and nonhuman histories.
