Yes, technology is not only facilitates our life but also military secrets at risk of being stolen at any moment.
If we participate in R&D, we can avoid to attack by other country.
Protect country is necessary task for every national then if we don’t participate in research and development ,we do not have quality weapons to flight else country.

Yes. I think of military as a form of insurance to keep the society in order.
Participation: more job opportunities, but also riskier because weapons will have more firepower.
Lack participation: opposite of the above.

Yes, for techno-nationalism every countries are actively research weapons to enhance national strength and prevent invasion by powerful countries.
