Between pain and pleasure

In most of my conversations with women, there were memories of suffering and expressions of pain when they remembered how they had learned to make tortillas, either at home or when they went to live with their in-laws. However, when we talked about the present, making tortillas in that same kitchen where they first learned to moler was no longer cause for suffering: they all told me that now they enjoy cooking and making their own tortillas.
