Critical Commentary
AS: Ashley Shew, Associate Professor of STS at Virginia Tech, works on philosophy of technology at its intersection with disability studies, emerging tech, and animal studies. She could also be convinced to talk about disabled people in space and crip futurities. She is co-editor-in-chief of Techné, the journal of the Society for Philosophy and Technology (SPT), as well as the co-editor of three philosophy of technology volumes and sole author of Animal Constructions and Technological Knowledge (Lexington, 2017). Her current work is about disability and technology and is funded through a National Science Foundation CAREER Award (#1750260: Disability, Experience, and Technological Imagination).
