Aaron Su Collaboration Bio

I am a PhD student in the Department of Anthropology at Princeton University. I’m in coursework, and still preparing to do my long-term fieldwork, which will hopefully center around the Chinese medicine export industry along the South China Sea. Recently I have been interested in how ethnomedicine and expert knowledge have been variously construed in the history of anthropology, as well as the unexplored ways that forms of racialization inflect these understandings. The latter topic seems to be seminal in understanding Chinese medicine’s increasing globalization. I have experience in editorial and publishing work, academic conferences, grant writing, and research. I would love to collaborate with others working in the Asia Pacific, as well as with those who are collaborating with ethnomedical communities and their attendant export industries.
