Biography

I am a fourth year undergraduate student studying Urban Ecology through Drexel University's interdisciplinary program. My research is focused on the relationships between the natural and built environments, with my ultimate goal being to improve urban social and environmental issues through research and design. Recently I have conducted research on the biodiversity of urban land, in addition to volunteering with a local non-profit to actively improve the social and ecological health of the city through design.

I joined PHEEL in February 2018 to learn more about urban socio-economic and public health issues related to environmental problems. As a research assistant, I am designing workshop materials for the ‘Climate, Health, and Home’ project and gathering data on flooding in Philadelphia. I also assist with data collection and analysis during community-based workshops.
