The following paper was stumbled upon when researching Peter L. Berger and Thomas Luckmann 's social Constructive Theory. It not only succinctly presents the key moves Berger and Luckman's theory makes, but it also relates the relevant the ideas that precede it, the theoretical derivations they make and, the oppositions they comfort and finally the limitations their theory present. In doing the latter, the author Ivan H. Light, suggests the idea of 'uncertainty' as a concept that not only fixes the limitations of Berger and Luckman's project, it bolsters the social constructivist project.
